Manapouri - a little village with circa 400 inhabitants lays on the bank of Manapouri lake. This place is eastern part of Fiordland national park. The second deepest New Zealand’s lake has over 30 little islands cover with rain forest. All islands are accessible by boat.
Just across Waiau river starts short hiking track called “Circle Track". Whole hike takes approximately three hours. To get to the start you have to rent a little boat. Beautiful view of Hunter Mountains and Manapouri lake offers overlook from the top of this hike.
